QuillGear LLC · Pacific Northwest
We make games and publish books.
QuillGear is a small studio in the Pacific Northwest. We create original worlds and publish them as games and books. A second side, QuillGear Industrial, is building software for manufacturers and is not ready yet.
About
Why a quill and a gear?
A quill for the stories and a gear for the work of building them. That is more or less the whole business plan.
QuillGear Studio
Our storytelling side. Original games and books, published under our own name.

Our manufacturing side. Software for factories, still in development.
What's coming →Do it well
We'd rather make one really good thing than a pile of so-so ones.
Make it last
We want people still playing, reading and using what we make years from now.
Keep it simple
Whether you're playing a game, reading a book or running a machine, it should just work.
QuillGear Studio
Stories you can play and read.
QuillGear Studio develops games and publishes books. The worlds, characters and stories are ours, and we see them through from first idea to release.
Coming soon
Our first game is in development. More to share once it is further along.
Our books
We publish under our own name. The full list is coming soon.
All our own
Our worlds are original rather than licensed, so a character from a book can show up in a game.
Story comes first
How a game plays, how it looks and how a book reads all start with the story.
QuillGear Industrial
Software for the factory floor.
The other half of QuillGear. We are building tools for manufacturers: production tracking, quality checks, machine maintenance. None of it is ready to show yet.
Coming soon
Still being built. We would rather say that plainly than put up a demo of something you cannot use. If you run a shop and want to hear when it is ready, send us a note.
Where we work
Made in the Pacific Northwest
We're based in the Pacific Northwest, surrounded by mountains, forests and water. It's a great place to dream up stories and to build things.
